Buckeye Country Superfest - Columbus, OH

Buckeye Country Superfest is housed inside ‘the Shoe’ and for those not up-to-date on college football stadiums that’s the home stadium for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Shoe, nicknamed for its horseshoe shaped design, can hold over 100,000 people. That’s correct, One Hundred Thousand.
Known to others by its government name, ‘Ohio Stadium’ is a beautiful stadium which seemingly captures Roman-type architecture on the outside and early-90’s NASCAR track architecture on the inside. Upon walking in you’re surrounded by concrete and loudness. You walk under the seats as you’re making your way to whichever section you’re seating in and can easily find merchandise, food, or bathrooms anywhere.
Once you make your way to your seat (assuming you’re in the bowl seats and not the floor seats) you’ll be met with metal bleachers which tightly pack the thousands of fans around. Be advised these aren’t the most comfortable seats you’ll ever sit in but in fairness they’re not made to be. This place is made to encourage people to get on their feet and yell for 3+ hours every Saturday that the Buckeyes host a visiting team.
Similar, at this concert we’d recommend getting on your feet for the music and sitting during set changes. Having been to this festival before we can tell you that parking is a breeze as long as you arrive early. We parked essentially across the street from the entrance and made it in very quickly. Leaving was also fairly easy given the amount of people who were in attendance. Allow for ample time to leave though because moving 100,000 people from anywhere isn’t an easy task.
