Wrigley Field. Wrigley fucking Field! Unless you're under the age of 5 we're assuming you know how big this one is! And, in case you are under the age of 5, we're going to explain it anyway! Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, has been open since 1914, it has live ivy growing on the outfield walls, holds over 41,000 people, has hosted Pearl Jam, Jimmy Buffett, Lady Gaga, and now Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps.
These hallowed grounds have seen the 2016 Chicago Cubs hoist the Commissioner's Trophy and now they'll be seeing CJ Cain, Matthew Rowland, Craig Burletic, Rodney Elkins, Kory Caudill, James Barker, Jesse Wells, and Tyler Childers bringing a sale out crowd to their feet for 2 hours!
Wrigley sits a couple blocks from Lake Michigan, is on the north side of Chicago and is surrounded by hotels and residents so don't expect to find cheap or easy parking. Our suggestion is to go online to a trusted parking deck/lot in the area and buy through them. Personally we're going to Uber to this one from outside the city just to have the full Chicago experience with a driver who knows the area better than us.
Wednesday will be kicking the show off and they're certainly a band worth being there for! This will be their 2nd date on the tour and I can only imagine what it's like for them to know they'll be opening for one of the most historic Tyler shows ever.
Also, we can't fail to mention that Jon Batiste will be there - that's right Jon freaking Batiste! While known for his music to most Jon is also a renowned civil-rights activist who uses music to connect people. We can't put into words how amazing it is to see him on a lineup with Tyler and we can't tell you enough how much you need to see him live!
NEVER MISS A SUNDAY SHOW!
