Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle, WA

SEATTLE, WASH-ING-TON! Climate Pledge Arena, is about, well exactly what their name says, helping the climate. The first carbon neutral arena in the world, they use reclaimed rain water to create their ice hockey rink. They also aim to be a zero waste facility and divert a high percentage of waste away from landfills. They also encourage public transit use to help cut down on carbon emissions and even encourage their staff to take public transit to and from work.
Over 3/4th of the food vendors in the venue are locally sourced and they’re all over the venue for your needs.
Climate Pledge Arena is absolutely downtown and if you’re able to find a way to take a photo from above you’ll be able to get the entire Seattle skyline in the photo. It is an absolutely gorgeous facility with amazing views all around it. It is so close to the Space Needle that it’s actually considered to be in the same district - the Seattle Center Complex. The Seattle Center Complex is home to the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, a science center, and the museum of pop culture.
Because of their desire to be carbon neutral there is limited parking around the venue itself. However, the city offers pre-paid parking through SpotHero (which already has spots for this show on there at less than $15 a piece) and ParkWiz which are less than a mile walk from the venue. There are garages owned by the arena which are less than a quarter mile away but very limited. Additionally, there is free parking at some Amazon owned garages around the area but be warned they’re over a mile away from the arena.
Truthfully, we recommend finding some friends and cutting your carbon emissions, getting to the venue super early, and parking at the garage owned by the venue on 1st St. If that isn’t your cup of tea and you want to lessen your carbon footprint more you can opt for the free transit pass - King County Public Transit Pass - which is able to be used 2 hours before doors open and 2 hours after the show ends (you have to download the Kracken + CPA app to acquire this pass).
Wednesday is still making their country wide tour with Tyler and the boys as they roll into Seattle. They’re an amazing opener and will certainly get people out of their seats with their heavy riffs and 70’s-esque rock style mixed with some modern rock.
