Did someone say Six Flags!? Darien Lake Amphitheater and Six Flags share a parking lot! Get there early, ride some rides, and catch a concert! Though it should be noted that Darien Lake Amphitheatre is in a pretty remote area and the adjoining parking lots seem to be fairly small. It'd be advised to ensure you're there early if not to ride rides just to have a good parking spot.
The amphitheater itself is a very unique design. Slightly pitched front to back it doesn't appear you'll have any obstructed views unless you're in the lawn area and behind a pole that holds up the canopy over the seats. A few rows of the back seats are actually not covered if you're buying seats in hopes of avoiding weather we'd suggest getting closer seats to ensure your seat is covered.
The aforementioned canopy is an absolutely massive and unique feature, it rises super above the stage into the air and is held up by metal poles protruding out of the ground. We've never seen a concert under such an awning so we can’t comment on how this material will affect the sound throughout the show but we’ll be very curious to hear from our followers how it handles the lights that will be bouncing off its white underbelly.
